3D Pie Chart

A reusable, configurable 3D pie/donut chart for Appian interfaces. It gives designers an engaging way to present proportional data (revenue by channel, case distribution, portfolio mix, budget allocation) directly in SAIL, which Appian's native charts do not offer in 3D. Each segment is clickable: selecting one rotates it to the front, pulls it out, dims the others, and writes the selected segment's label back to the interface so designers can drive drill-downs, grid filters, or detail panels off the selection. Colors, title, background, panel, legend, labels, and donut-vs-pie are all configurable, so it adapts to any application's look and feel.

Component: pie3dField

• Interactive 3D pie/donut rendered with three.js (bundled locally, no external calls).
• Auto-rotation on load, drag to rotate manually, configurable rotation speed.
• Click a segment (or a legend chip) to rotate it to the front, pull it out, and dim the rest.
• selectedSegmentLabel is written back to the interface (input-output) to drive drill-downs and filters.
• On-slice floating labels showing segment name and percentage.
• Live detail panel: name, percentage, raw value, share bar, rank, and description.
• Clickable legend; hover tooltips.
• Fully themeable: backgroundColor, titleColor, panelColor, title text, hintText; toggles for showSliceLabels, showLegend, showPanel, and donut vs solid pie.
