Plug-in (Component)Free

Box UI Components

by Appian Corporation

Description

This plug-in streamlines enterprise content and document management workflows by eliminating the need for users to switch between Appian and the external Box web application. It is ideal for businesses that use Box as their central document repository but rely on Appian for core processes. Users can view, navigate, and upload case-related files directly inside their active Appian tasks.

Features

Box Content Explorer Component (boxcontentexplorer): Displays a secure, interactive file explorer inside Appian where users can navigate folders, select files or folders, and upload new documents. Box Content Uploader Component (boxcontentuploader): Provides a dedicated drag-and-drop or file-picker interface for uploading files directly to a specific destination folder in Box. Metadata Table View: Allows the Content Explorer to switch into a structured grid view that filters and lists files according to a defined Box metadata template. It supports custom columns mapped to Box string, number, date, single-select, and multi-select dropdown fields. Event-Driven Outputs: Dynamically captures user interactions in the explorer (such as clicked files or navigated folders) and returns the item details (id, name, type) directly to Appian rule inputs. Authentication: Works side-by-side with the Box connected-system plugin to support multiple secure authentication templates, including OAuth 2.0, JWT (Server Authentication), and Client Credentials Grant (CCG).
