Docx Services

The plug-in is useful when organizations need to prepare documents before sharing them with customers, partners, or other external users. It eliminates manual document review and avoids the need for a paid third-party document-processing library. It can be used as Smart Service within an Appian process to automate document cleanup and save the resulting file for distribution or downstream processing.

Accepts all tracked changes in a DOCX document. Removes all comments from the document. Runs directly as a node in an Appian process model. Can create a brand-new cleaned document or save the cleaned content as a new version of the source document. Allows users to specify the output folder and document name; if omitted, the source folder and an automatically generated name ending in “UpdatedDoc” are used. Returns the cleaned document, a success indicator, and an error message when the operation fails. Supports only DOCX files, and the input document must already exist in Appian
