Plug-in Composer (Appian Site Plug-in)

Plug-in Composer (IDE) is an IntelliJ IDEA plug-in that lets developers generate, modify, fix, and explore Appian plug-ins using plain English. It cannot work on its own — it needs Plug-in Composer (Appian Site) installed on your Appian environment to sign developers in and process their requests.

Plug-in Composer (Appian Site) is the server-side component that makes that connection. It authenticates developers against your site's user store, routes requests to Appian AI, and meters every interaction as AI Actions.

Available on the Advanced and Premium tiers. Requires Appian 26.9 or later. To enable Plug-in Composer, open an Appian Support case. Support will confirm your eligibility, install this plug-in on your site, and share the setup steps for the IDE plug-in.
